Summary/Objective The General Rigger (Carpenter) facilitates the installation of fixed scaffolding and swing stage scaffolding at the request of Stone Mountain Access customers by performing the following duties.   Essential Functions Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.

  Supervisory Responsibility None required for this position   Work Environment While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud up to 50% of the time. This position is performed in all weather conditions with 90% of work performed indoors and 10% of work performed outside.   Physical Demands The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.   Position Type/Expected Hours of Work This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, first shift, 40 hours per week. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.   Travel Occasional day and overnight travel is expected for this position.   Required Education and Experience Forklift experience preferred.   Required Language Skills Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to speak, read and write English required.   Math Skills Ability to add and subtract two-digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100ss. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.   Reasoning Ability Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one-or two-step instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables.   Computer Skills None required for this position.   Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations Driver’s license preferred. Some positions may require a Class B license.
