Summary / Objective
  • As a Scaffold Foreman, you will oversee installations of suspended and fixed access systems safely and efficiently. You’ll lead and mentor crew members on-site, coordinate closely with Project Managers, and ensure all scaffold projects meet quality and safety standards.
Essential Functions
  • Supervise and direct scaffold crew operations, ensuring timely and accurate project execution.
  • Read and interpret scaffold plans, client specifications, and load calculations.
  • Conduct pre-shift safety briefings and enforce use of proper PPE and fall‑protection systems.
  • Perform field inspections for compliance with OSHA, ANSI, and company safety protocols.
  • Track and report daily progress, material usage, and manpower to Project Manager.
  • Mentor, train, and evaluate crew members to maintain skill and safety compliance.
  • Coordinate equipment and material logistics between yard and job site.
  • Proactively resolve issues related to weather, site conditions, or client requests.
Supervisory Responsibility
  • Full accountability for the scaffold crew and subcontractors assigned to your job.
Work Environment
  • Frequent exposure to outdoor conditions including varying temperatures, wind, and precipitation.
  • Work at heights using aerial lifts, swing stages, and system scaffolds.
  • Noise, dust, and heavy equipment operation on job sites.
Physical Demands
  • Regularly lift, push, pull, or move heavy materials (up to 100 pounds).
  • Must climb ladders, scaffolds, structures; stand or walk for extended periods.
  • Capable of working at heights safely and comfortably.
Qualifications / Competencies
  • 3+ years of scaffold experience and at least 1 year of supervisory (Foreman-level) experience.
  • Scaffold Competent Person certification preferred.
  • Expert knowledge of scaffolding components, load capacities, and erection methods.
  • Ability to read blueprints and scaffold layout diagrams.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • OSHA 10‑hour or 30‑hour Construction Safety certification required.

Summary/Objective Helper duties consist of pulling and packing equipment for customer orders, counting, and putting equipment away from customer returns, cleaning and maintaining scaffold components, cleaning and maintaining organization in the yard and warehouse.

  • Maintain, warehouse, and inspect all power cords, wire rope, and other items which need inspection prior to being placed in the rent ready storage areas.
  • Load trucks from SMA with proper materials for job as directed by supervisor.
  • Move and load equipment from build location to the truck as work is completed as directed by supervisor
    • With direction from Lead Rigger or Construction Manager, assist with installation of equipment on location per customer’s requirements.
  • Stock inventory as directed.
  • Maintain an organized and clean work area free from debris or items not needed for the immediate task at hand.
  • Use tools properly for their intended use and maintain all company provided tools and equipment in proper working order.
  • Light building maintenance as required.

Work Environment

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud up to 50% of the time. This position is performed in all weather conditions We mostly work outside with about 20-30% of our work inside.

Summary/Objective

  • The Skilled Scaffold E&D facilitates the installation of fixed scaffolding and swing stage scaffolding. A scaffold builder is required to work as a member of an erection & dismantling crew and will build and dismantle scaffolds in accordance with company policies and OSHA standards, at the request of Stone Mountain Access customers by performing the following duties.

Essential Functions
