Stone Mountain Access Systems, Inc. (SMA) in Hillside, IL, Atlanta, GA and Jacksonville, FL, Nashville, TN is seeking an Outside Sales Professional to drive sales of the company’s equipment rental, sales, and services, by effectively developing and maintaining relationships with SMA existing and prospective customers. We are looking for a professional individual who can serve as a positive company representative to make sure that our customers have the safest and best access solutions for every job every time. This sales representative will also be expected to achieve maximum sales profitability, growth, and account penetration within their designated and regional market segments.

Summary/Objective

  • Achieves maximum sales profitability, growth, and account penetration within an assigned territory and/or market segment by effectively selling the company’s products and related services by performing the following duties.

Essential Functions

Our Sales Representatives develop and increase sales revenue to meet assigned targets by maintaining and growing current clients and developing new leads. They utilize various methods to develop customers for the company. Being available and visible for customers before, during and following up after each project is essential to providing our customers with the service they have come to expect from our sales team.

      • Propose customer solutions that are compliant with appropriate local, state, and federal regulations.
      • Develop clear and effective written proposals/quotations for current and prospective customers.
      • Coordinate sales effort to include key departments within the company.
      • Communicate effectively to the branches and managers.
      • Assist with the planning of sales exhibits.
      • Attend and participate in trade shows.
      • Participate in education and training conferences and associations on selling and marketing programs.
      • Keep informed of new products, services, and other general information of interest to customers.
      • Check competitive activity and develop new methods of attaining new accounts.
      • Troubleshoot problems regarding products/service provided.
      • Assist with collecting delinquent accounts.
      • Manage and maintain CRM trough company provided software

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with at least 5 years field sales/marketing experience required and at least 3 years’ experience in the scaffold/construction industry including safety related education and/or experience.
  • Ability to speak, read and write English required.
  • Ability to speak, read or write Spanish is preferred.

Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations

  • OSHA Certifications preferred.
  • Scaffold Certification preferred.

Summary/Objective

  • This position works with a team to facilitate organization of Stone Mountain Access rental equipment, uses SMA trucks to deliver and pick up equipment, as well as completes general equipment repairs as needed.

Essential Functions

  • Maintain, warehouse, and inspect all power cords, wire rope, and other items which need inspection prior to being placed in the rent ready storage areas.
  • Maintain an organized and clean work area free from debris or items not needed for the immediate task at hand.
  • Use tools properly for their intended use and maintain all company provided tools and equipment in proper working order.
  • Ensure SMA grounds are free of debris and ice/snow.
  • Light building maintenance as required.
  • Transport equipment to and from worksites in SMA owned vehicles.
  • Safely operate a Class C vehicle for deliveries and pick-ups across the region.
  • Load and unload materials and secure cargo properly.
  • Maintain accurate delivery logs, receipts, and related paperwork.
  • Follow assigned routes and schedules as directed by dispatch.
  • Inspect vehicle before and after trips and report any mechanical issues.
  • Maintain cleanliness and general upkeep of assigned vehicle.
  • Communicate clearly with team members, customers, and dispatch staff.
  • Follow all DOT, FMCSA (if applicable), and Illinois State driving laws.

Work Environment

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud up to 50% of the time. This position is performed in all weather conditions with 90% of work performed indoors and 10% of work performed outside.

Summary/Objective

  • The Skilled Scaffold E&D facilitates the installation of fixed scaffolding and swing stage scaffolding. A scaffold builder is required to work as a member of an erection & dismantling crew and will build and dismantle scaffolds in accordance with company policies and OSHA standards, at the request of Stone Mountain Access customers by performing the following duties.

Essential Functions
