Summary/Objective
- The construction manager plans, directs and coordinates activities pertaining to the construction and maintenance of scaffolding in accordance with company policies, documents and governmental regulations.

- Coordinate employee and equipment availability with the Operations Manager per the requirements of the job.
- Directs and motivates supervisory personnel and staff engaged in planning and executing work procedures.
- Assists the Operations Manager and Sales Manager with conducting property inspections, safety inspections and lead meetings.
- Evaluates specifications for plan procedures, start and completion dates, and staffing requirements for each phase of the project to ensure within budget.
- Interprets specifications and company policies to subordinates and enforces safety regulations.
- Analyzes and resolves work problems, including worker complaints and grievances.
- Inspects property under construction on a regular basis to ensure the work conforms to specifications, budget and schedule and initiates any repair or replacement needs and/or adjustment of working procedures.
- Work with Sales Manager on equipment list.
- Conducts On-the-Job training to ensure work is done properly including tool box talk and bi-weekly meetings with the supervisors.
- Once work is finished, performs a final inspection with Operations Manager to ensure all items are completed as per contract.

Supervisory Responsibility
- The position directly supervises employees and carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
Work Environment
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee may work near moving mechanical parts or in height, precarious positions. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud up to 35% of the time. This position is performed in all weather conditions with 100% of work performed outdoors.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
- This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, first shift, 40 hours per week and may require longer hours and weekend work.
Travel
- Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel is expected.
Education and Experience
- High school education preferred with 5 years related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Language Skills
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, blue prints, schematics and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
- Ability to speak, read and write English required.
- Ability to speak, read or write Spanish or Polish preferred.
Math Skills
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals.
Reasoning Ability
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills
- Proficient in MS Office, Internet and Windows
Certifications, Licenses, and Registrations
- OSHA 30 within 6 months of holding the position required
